Avant Garde Wants YOU!

Want more than a standard membership but not ready to join the board? Consider Avant Garde, and open yourself up to a world of hip events and fun cultural experiences with people who love art as much as you do. Avant Garde is MCASD’s newest membership group created especially for young collectors and art enthusiasts 25- to 40-something.

The Avant Garde calendar kicks off with a private collection tour at the home of Matthew and Iris Strauss. On Sunday, January 22, enjoy an exclusive tour of the Matthew and Iris Strauss Collection led by MCASD Chief Curator Kathryn Kanjo. View sculpture, painting, and installation work by international artists including Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, and Gerhard Richter. Following the tour, enjoy a private champagne reception in this impressive Rancho Santa Fe home.
